from my new book

My Model Leader
I have been tutored and groomed by savouring from the lives of great leaders. A few of them I have met personally, others I hope to meet someday. Leaders who continually challenge me to live and not just exist. By been the best, they unconsciously encourage me to shine. The list is long and everyday it gets longer. Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye is my hero, anytime I see him something in me practically leaps, he has successfully combined greatness with humility. Pastor Joe Ogbe, the international President of Young Disciples International exemplifies what sacrifice can cost a leader. He committed class suicide. He closed down his company to focus on reaching out to young people. How can I ever express my gratitude to the authors of several books that have changed my thinking? I heard that impossible is nothing, but a leader like Barack Obama has shown me in the 21st century that the only limitations are in our minds.

But all that is nothing when compared to my model leader. I have tried hard not to write a spiritual book because I wanted to transcend the church circle and reach out to many more young people who are in love with reading novels. But this book cannot be complete except I show you the leadership qualities of the most outstanding leader that walked on planet earth.

When everyone thought an end had come to his life through a brutal journey to Calvary, he saw an opportunity to die for humanity. He was secure enough to allow John the Baptist to baptise him though he was greater than him. It was a sense of responsibility that made him to be subject to his parents though he was God. I should remind you that he washed the feet of his disciples that defines humility.
He stood alone in the temple while the crowds went home. How else did he stand by the well with a woman who was a prostitute if he wasn’t sexually disciplined? It took hardwork to fast for 40days and nights. He also had value for the disciples that worked with him and the crowds he preached to.

More than 2000 years after he left the earth we are still talking about his works, now that’s impact. The church is his legacy. When he spoke even the Pharisees listened to him, that’s Respect. He was consistent in his custom of reading the scriptures in the temple. You only need to look at the beauty of nature to see excellence. How else could a man sleep in the midst of a storm if he didn’t have a right attitude? The 12 disciples continued from where he stopped, that’s succession.
For 30 years he was committed to personal development before starting his ministry. He was also a talented speaker. Though he was greater than them, yet at the age of 12 he was mentored in the temple as he listened to the doctors and asked them questions.
I have not seen a more influential leader, yet he served the men he created. He never attempted to do it alone; he understood the power of teamwork. In Him there’s no variableness neither is there any shadow of turning, what integrity. He always had time to prepare .Who else understands the law of time perspective, than the One who is been seated at the right hand of the Father just waiting for the appointed time when the Saviour would become the Judge. The hour when he would marry a church without spot or wrinkle.
I have spent a large part of this book talking about myself, but I need to introduce you to my model leader, his name is Jesus. He saved me, transformed me and gave me a fresh start. Life without Him is like driving without seeing. In Him all things consist, without Him nothing was made that was made. Dear young leader eventually only two things would matter, did you know Jesus my model leader? And what did you do with your relationship with Him? There are three things he would do for you if you allow him into your life.
4. He would forgive your past because all have seen and have fallen short of the glory of God
5. He would help you today
6. He would secure your future.

food for thought

need someone to flog me, i was late to church on sunday and evn at that i stiil wanted to have cake and coke before going in for service. While at the koisk, I noticed a man who had gotten there before me but was having difficulty in communcating. I can say excatly if he is dumb, but it was very difficult for him to express himself. At that point I saw another reason to be grateful to God, the One who gives us mouth. emi dupe pe molenu, as they say it I'M MOUTHED

fasting

i stumbled on a book on fasting the other day at a bookstore written by Franklin J..SOMETHING, THE BOOK IS TERRIFIC, YOU SIMPLE CANNOT READ IT WITHOUT STARTING A FAST yourself. the good thing is tht we are just at the start of a new year, it is the best time to seek the face of God. Remember that the bible says that we should seek Him when he may be found.

I also realized as i began to fast that it helps break away from some addictions. For example i noticed that i\ was getting very addicted to drinking, it's not what you think i mean taking coca cola and the like . So, i resolved that in the 40 days that i would be fasting i would also stay away from them.

watched christiano ronlado emerge the fifa world's best footballer of the year last night. 'Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do , do it with all thy might."

joy to the wise

i listened with rapt attention as my father shared with us the word for the year at the watchnight service on december 31st. Pastor Adeboye said in the year 2009, there would be joy to the wise. i can spend alot of time blogging about the lifestyle of wise people. but i want you to keep one thing to heart today- " He that is wise shall win souls." this year whatever you do keep winning souls.
