the sleep of Eutychus
Eutychus is not a bible character a lot of people are familiar with, because in reality we hardly refer to it. A friend saw the name in my notepad yesterday and was asking me what it meant. Once I reminded her of the guy who slept so deeply that he tripped off a window and died, she realised it was a familiar story.
I came across this guy last week while reading the book of Acts, and since then I have not been able to move beyond Acts 20:9,because it has been very enlightening. This week I have decided to share a few lessons I am learning from Jonah's protege. Let's talk about his sleep.
There is no need arguing while Eutychus slept off, we could actually come up with 1000 good reasons for his deep sleep. I personally think that Paul's message must have been quite lengthy, because even after the incident he continued preaching to them. But let's focus on what sleeping does to us.
1. Sleeping too much can easily become a bad habit- Proverbs 6:10
2.Sleeping is the breeding ground for laziness.-Proverbs 6:9
3.Anyone given to sleeping reaps poverty and is always in need.- Proverbs 6:11.

THE MAKING OF 2011
It's already two weeks gone in 2011,we all said happy new year a while ago,feasted and rejoiced
at the start of it.Already flood has devastated brasil,tunisia's President had to run away from the country as a result of a crisis,President Jonathan has also picked the PDP primaries ticket, all these have happened in just 19days.I forgot to add my club also dropped out of the FA cup, no thanks to Webb's poor officiating(hope the FA won't also fine me like they did to Babel for expressing my annoyance).
However you and I can still determine what this year would turn out to be, if only we focus on actualising our set goal
