“Jesus always used stories and illustrations like these when speaking to the crowds. In fact, He never spoke to them without using such parables.”

It was a day after the May monthly Holy Ghost service of The Redeemed Christian Church of God. I remember my Elder sister talked to me about one of the stories Pastor Adeboye shared during the service . In a short while we were in a discourse about the numerous life inspiring stories of our General Overseer. It was at that moment while doing my laundry that it dawned on me, that compiling these great, profound and inspiring true life experiences of this God’s General would be a great treasure to many generations.

It’s all right to study about how the Red sea gave way for the Israelites to pass through, or how Elijah prayed for the rain to fall, but perhaps what’s more profound is to see and experience these miracles in contemporary times. What is true is that you only attract what you respect. I have listened to PastorAdeboye consistently over the last 12years and have been personally blessed by his use of personal stories and illustrations in the teaching of the Word.

Whether you are like me, or you just stumbled on this treasure, I am quite persuaded that you will find this book very helpful. The stories would definitely encourage, instruct, motivate and empower you. The more time you spend with this compilation of living proofs, the more you’ll be able to live in an atmosphere of amazing miracles.

Happy Reading,

1.

One day my driver and I were traveling to Ilorin and there is a bridge not too far from Ogbomosho that is very narrow and in those days it could only take one vehicle at a time. We were traveling on that road and we got to the bridge first, which means every other vehicle must stop, but a trailer was coming from the other side, either the brake failed or the driver didn’t just know what was going wrong.

He was coming straight at us, there was no time to pray and death looked certain, but there was enough time to shout one name (Jesus) my driver and I shouted the same thing, JESUS! And somehow we passed. How? I don’t know up till now. When we got to the other side of the bridge the trailer had gone and we had passed, on a bridge that can’t take two cars. My driver packed and he was shaking, thank God he did not look back because i was shaking too. But by the time he finished shaking I had composed myself, he said, “Daddy what happened’” .I said “God expanded the bridge” he said, “wonderful”. I said, “That’s His name.”

PROMISE REMINDER

“The name of Jesus is a strong tower the righteous run in and they are saved.”
